Afgelopen maandag was het, zoals jullie weten, Koninginnedag. Omdat het Schuitfestival dit jaar helaas niet doorging, hadden The Rudolfs een vervangend festival georganiseerd in Scum. RudolfPalooza. Met hooggespannen verwachtingen gingen we naar Scum toe, en die hebben ze zeker waargemaakt!
Er zijn eigenlijk geen woorden om te beschrijven hoe geniaal het was. Bij aankomst bleek dat alle mensen (en dus alle bekenden) die normaal gesproken naar de Schuit zouden gaan, hier waren. Dik 150 man in het zonnetje buiten en 300 man in een heet en dampend Scum binnen. Er hing meteen een goede, relaxte sfeer en iedereen stond te zuipen dronk een lekker biertje.
Da Kopcillahz (aka Tobias) draaide als eerst. Leuke muziek, van alles door elkaar, altijd goed! Een lekkere opwarmer voor de rest van de bands.
De eerste band die speelde was The Peterlees. Lekkere heftige punkrock, eigenlijk één grote oceaan van herrie, maar wel cool! Het publiek deed goed mee.
Vervolgens kwam George Jetson. Relaxte gitaarrock, soms stevig, soms rustig. Ze hebben het publiek goed opgewarmd voor The Rudolfs.
En toen was het eindelijk zover. Na aankondiging van Robbert stormde iedereen naar binnen om een goed plekje te kunnen bemachtigen met uitzicht op het podium. En zeker terecht. The Rudolfs waren geniaal en rockend als altijd. Over een megabrakke PA stonden ze te knallen alsof hun leven er vanaf hing. Dit was zo’n optreden. Zo eentje waarvan achteraf 2000 man zegt dat ze erbij waren. In één woord: fantastisch. Het was één groot feest, het publiek ging helemaal los. Dansen, springen, moshen en headbangen, alles gebeurde. Onze kernwoorden: zwetend, dampend en stampend, maar bovenal: moddervet!
Na The Rudolfs werd er nog biertje gedaan, voordat Scum leegstroomde op zoek naar eten.
