Een beetje laat, maar beter laat dan nooit zullen we maar zeggen. Afgelopen zaterdag was het jaarlijkse verjaarsdagsfeestje van Los Zand, traditiegetrouw in Tripodia. Het beloofde een gezellige en vooral feestelijke avond te worden. Helaas is niet alles wat het lijkt.

Om te beginnen was het al lastig om een kaartje te bemachtigen… Tripodia was zaterdagmiddag gesloten en in dorp was alles al opgehaald. Gelukkig hadden ze bij De Kleine VIP nog een klein stapeltje kaarten liggen, waardoor we alsnog konden gaan (voor 15 (!!) euro per kaartje).
Het opvallende van de avond was dat er weer veel dezelfde bands waren, dus: The Driftkickers, DVS Bigband en natuurlijk Los Zand. De enige nieuwkomer dit jaar was AJ and the Wildgrooves. Doordat de line-up bijna hetzelfde was als de jaren ervoor zorgde dit ervoor dat er niet veel vernieuwing in zat. Constant van podia wisselen, dezelfde meezingnummers en zelfs het publiek was hetzelfde. Wat echter NIET hetzelfde was, waren de drankprijzen. Een Baco kostte ons een rib uit ons lijf, maar liefst zeven euro vijftig! (Dit komt overigens niet door Tripodia, maar door de toeslag die de organisatoren er boven op legden – aldus een barman.) Zo wordt een avondje feesten in Tripodia toch wel erg duur. Overgaan op wijn zat er ook niet in. Na overgehaald te zijn door (dezelfde) barman, die beweerde dat de witte wijn heel zoet was, gingen we bijna over onze hachel. Als iemand had gezegd dat er azijn in het plastic bekertje zat hadden we het ook geloofd.
Anyway. We hebben onze foto’s gemaakt, ons gezicht laten zien en vervolgens in dorp verder gegaan. – Of we nog een keer gaan? Waar-schijn-lijk niet. Tenzij Los Zand ineens met een supervernieuwend concept komt, dat we echt niet kunnen missen!
