De eerste editie van het Kromfestival is door de bezoekers – zo’n 700 in getal – zeer positief ontvangen. De combinatie van een heerlijke zonnetje, een prima sfeer en kwalitatief goede muziek van eigen bodem bezorgden de bezoekers een geslaagde middag.
De organisatie van het evenement lag in handen van de Los Zand Agency in samenwerking met vv Katwijk. Het hoofdveld van de voetbalvereniging was omgetoverd tot een soort festivalterrein met een groot podium en diverse verkooppunten voor catering. Voor de jongste jeugd stonden er springkussens en daar werd volop gebruik van gemaakt. Tevens was Stichting Juul aanwezig; zij hebben zich via de informatie- en verkoopstand goed kunnen presenteren bij de bezoekers.
Maar liefst 7 Katwijkse bands (Salmaniacs, Band & Breakfast, Driftkickers, Los Zand, the Rudolfs, Tot Laterz, Another Midlife Crisis) traden op tijdens het evenement en die kregen de sfeer er prima in. Daar werkte het weer en de uitstekende organisatie ook zeker aan mee.

Wel schandalig dat je voor minimaal 22,50 munten moest halen. Wat een grap, die regel moeten ze volgend jaar maar lekker schrappen.
