Maandag 22 juli was de vierde avond van het cultureel kinder- en jongerenfestival Veld van de Verbeelding. Wederom een gezellige avond met veel bezoekers en deelnemers die genoten van mode, muziek, comedy en improvisatie.
De avond startte met een te gekke modeshow door de meiden van de Factory (Stappers en Scum). Zestien meiden van 7 tot en met 14 jaar showden kleding van de Kledingkade op de catwalk. De show bestond uit twee onderdelen; casual en uitgaanskleding. De meiden werden getranformeerd tot echte modellen. De make-up en het haar werden tot in de puntjes verzorgd door een kapster en visagist en zelfs de loopjes werden geoefend. Dit was dan ook goed te zien op de catwalk!
Hierna volgde een culturele workshop, Impro Theater, onder leiding van Mirjam Ouwehand Zij gaf met een aantal jongeren een creatieve improvisatieworkshop theater en cabaret. Veel tieners deden hier enthousiast aan mee en gaven zich gelijk op voor de Impro Theater workshops van The art Squad Katwijk (T.A.S.K.) die na de zomervakantie in Factory De Poolster van start gaan.
Daarna was het de beurt aan Kattuk.nl columnist Bart de Vreugd voor zijn aller-aller-allereerste stand-up comedyshow! Hij had de lachers op zijn hand over zijn vakantie in Barcelona. Voor een allereerste keer zeker niet slecht Bart! Maar de grofste grappen liet hij, gezien de jonge leeftijd van het publiek, gelukkig achterwege.
De punkrockband Noisette sloot de avond af met een knallend optreden. Zeker geen onbekenden voor het Veld van de Verbeelding. Vorig jaar rockten ze namelijk op hetzelfde podium toen nog onder een andere naam. Met opzwepende gitaren, vocals en drums gaven zij een goede show. Leuk om te zien dat deze jonge band zich steeds verder ontwikkelt!
Terwijl de grote circustent op z’n kop stond was er buiten ook nog van alles te doen. Er werd gestunt op de Big Air Bag. Tientallen durfals stortten zich vol overgave met hun skates, skateboards of bmx op de ramp om te landen op de Air Bag. Ter afkoeling werd er een groot waterballonnen gevecht gehouden en konden er lekkere alcoholvrije cocktails en frisjes worden gehaald bij de cocktailbar. Intussen draaide DJ Marcel Vooijs de avond swingend aan elkaar!
Met een goede sfeer, lekker weer, veel muziek, humor, fashion een kleine 100 bezoekers, 50 deelnemers aan de activiteiten, optredens en workshops en 25 vrijwilligers was deze vierde avond van het Veld zeer geslaagd!
