Op zaterdag 21 september heeft in Scum Katwijk het I Love Frizzz – ‘Glow in the dark’ feest plaatsgevonden. Het feest was wederom een enorm succes en werd bezocht door ruim 200 jongeren! De bezoekers hadden ook dit keer in grote getale gehoor gegeven aan het thema. Jongeren hadden zichzelf onder andere geschminkt en beschilderd met glow in the dark verf.
Daarnaast was vanuit Factor Welzijn ook The Factory betrokken bij het feest! In de week voorafgaand aan het I Love Frizzz feest werden er in de jongerencentra Scum, de Schuit en Stapper speciale glow in the dark workshops georganiseerd door The Art Squad Katwijk (TASK). Jongeren konden voor twee euro deelnemen aan deze workshops!
Tijdens de workshops konden de jongeren hun eigen ontwerp maken op een wit shirt en dit shirt beschilderen met glow in the dark verf! Daarnaast kregen ze door deelname aan deze workshop ook gratis entree tot het feest. Deze workshops zijn mogelijk gemaakt door inzet van de combinatiefunctie Cultuur.
De I Love Frizzz feesten zijn speciaal bedoeld voor jongeren tussen de 12 en de 16 jaar. Op deze evenementen kunnen de jongeren op een verantwoorde manier feesten zonder drugs, zonder drank en zonder tabak! Het volgende I Love Frizzz feest in Scum zal worden gehouden op vrijdag 18 Oktober, met als thema: Halloween! Be There!
