In de maand juni zijn er in de hal van het gemeentehuis Katwijk topstukken te zien van leerlingen uit de bovenbouw mavo, havo en vwo van het Andreascollege, locatie Pieter Groen. De officiële opening is op maandag 4 juni tussen 17.00 – 18.00 uur met muzikale omlijsting door leerlingen uit 4 havo en 5 vwo.
Het vak Tekenen wordt op het Andreascollege, locatie Pieter Groen, gegeven aan alle leerlingen van de 1e t/m 3e klas. Vanaf 3 mavo, 4 havo en 5 vwo is Tekenen een keuzevak en kan het gekozen worden als examenvak. Tijdens deze lessen zijn de leerlingen veel praktisch bezig met tekenen. Leren tekenen is leren kijken. Door te tekenen wordt de greep op de werkelijkheid ontwikkeld. Leerlingen ontdekken al doende hoe je een stukje van de wereld ziet of kunt zien.
Naast het zelf tekenen wordt er ook gekeken naar beelden. Leerlingen kijken naar hun eigen werk en het werk van kunstenaars en ook naar vormen uit de ons omringende wereld. Verschillende thema’s uit de beeldende kunst worden tijdens de lessen behandeld. Bij het kijken proberen we te begrijpen waarom en hoe iemand het beeld heeft gemaakt. Dergelijk kijken noemen we ‘beschouwen’. De theorie die met het bekijken van beelden te maken heeft, zien we ook terug in de praktijkopdrachten.
In de expositiestukken laten leerlingen zien hoe zij een thema beeldend uitgewerkt hebben. Enkele thema’s zijn: ‘Groen’, ‘Wat van ver komt’, ‘Dutch Angel’, ‘Fotografische Familie’ en ‘Landschap in aquarel’.
Aan de eindwerkstukken is een proces van onderzoek en schetsen vooraf gegaan. In dit proces zochten de leerlingen naar de beste oplossingen ten aanzien van voorstelling, beeldaspecten, materialen en technieken om zodoende de door hun gekozen inhoud zo goed mogelijk over te brengen op de beschouwer. Nieuwsgierig hoe dat gelukt is? Kom dan tussen 4 en 28 juni naar het gemeentehuis in Katwijk, Koningin Julianalaan 3.
